Croix State Park. Extend your camping experience with two-night camping trips. Programs include June and Aug. Perfect for people that want to paddle together in the same boat.

These programs teach the basics of canoeing on lakes, from launching a canoe to paddling efficiently and planning a safe canoe outing. A third person may be permitted to sit in the middle of the canoe with two other paddlers at no extra cost.

This would be ideal for two parents with a younger child. Note that there is no seat in the middle of the canoe and participants must be at least 5 years old. These programs teach the basics of kayaking on lakes, from launching a kayak to paddling efficiently and planning a safe kayak outing.

Programs last approximately two hours. Participants must be at least 8 years old. Overnight canoe camping programs will help prepare you for future paddling trips to lakes and riverside campsites. We'll help you plan for your trip and make sure that you learn all of the necessary canoeing and camping skills as we paddle and camp along the Savanna Lake located in Savanna Portage State Park.

Reservation includes meals and all canoeing and camping equipment. Sleeping bag not included. Participants must be at least 10 years old. Learn shifting, braking, body position, basic safety and trail etiquette on a closed skills course, and then hit the trails for a group ride.

Small group sizes and experienced instructors will ensure you leave the program with the skills you need to ride the trails on your own. Prior mountain biking experience isn't necessary, as long as you know how to ride a bike on pavement. For ages 10 and older. DNT Minute podcast. The Vault.

The Master Angler Program is open to all licensed anglers in Minnesota. Nonresident anglers with an appropriate Minnesota license are also eligible to participate.

There are separate divisions for adults and youth anglers. Before you apply to be a Master Angler, please review the program rules and qualification chart.
